Peter Venn, finance director at the new Rockingham Motor Speedway, has bought the Ascar that was on display at Autosport International 2000.
The car Peter has bought is the first Ascar to be brought into the UK and he will race the machine in this years Nurburgring 24 Hours in June.
Peter will pilot the car himself, but as yet no co-drivers have been announced, he also plans to race the car in the inaugural ASCAR series in 2001.
